POOL HOUSE DESIGN

This wonderful design project began with a panic phone call late one evening and evolved into a long and fulfilling renovation. Our clients needed a new design for their pool house and entertainment area.

Alex worked alongside builders and joiners to style and project-manage the entire pool house building. Designs included unique sliding glazed doors to maximise the bucolic views, a bespoke kitchen area and an outdoor fixed Ibiza style chill-out area.

“ We had a project to re-develop a corner of our garden. Alex project-managed what turned out to be a pool rebuild, a pool house design and building and landscaping of the area to link into the surrounding fields. A dark over-grown area is now bright, and modern, and a wildflower meadow flows seamlessly into the grass and then an expansive paved pool area. We gave Alex complete control over the design and choices of the entire area. She designed a pool house where the glass doors disappear into the walls when open, leaving the inside to become part of the poolside area.

The back wall is a huge picture window meaning that the house does not disrupt the views across the field. Finally, the finish is spectacular. Her choices of furniture, crockery, decorations and cushions, throws, and towels were all perfect – we walked in and it was finished, down to the coffee machine and bottle opener for the rosé. Working with Alex was a complete joy throughout the process. Nothing was too much trouble and she managed the plumber, electrician and builder with ease. Her friendly but professional nature meant the project was enjoyed by all with the perfect end result for us. A year on we are eternally grateful to Alex for creating a space we could only have dreamed of.”
