Garden Bar
When a long-standing client reached out with an urgent design request, we were more than happy to jump in. The project: transforming a simple garden barn into a masculine, character-filled entertainment retreat that would sit naturally within the wild beauty of the long meadow garden—complete with the gentle sounds of the River Test flowing nearby.
Initially started as a solo venture, the client welcomed our design guidance to avoid common pitfalls and confidently explore bold choices, like a striking colour palette paired with carefully considered lighting.
The brief was clear: create a cosy hideaway to enjoy a rugby match and entertain friends with drinks. The result is a warm, welcoming space with a naturalistic charm and a unique cork-fronted bar - perfect for laid-back evenings, great conversations, and a well-earned break from the daily hustle.
